What To Bring

At Next Life Recovery Center, we understand that facing addiction or mental health challenges can feel overwhelming, but taking the first step toward a healthier, happier life is within your reach. Asking for help is a courageous decision, and we work closely with you and your family to create a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re addressing addiction, mental health struggles, or both, our goal is to provide the clarity, care, and confidence you need to move forward. While recovery may feel uncertain at first, we are committed to helping you navigate this journey and achieve lasting change.

Essential Documents:

    • A government-issued state ID (i.e. driver’s license, state ID or photo passport)
    • Health insurance
    • Prescription card or pharmacy card
      • Funds for your client account (can be added via cash or check made out to Next Life Recovery). These funds will cover pharmacy charges, nicotine products (if applicable), and any additional personal items you may need.

Inpatient Item:

  • 7 days’ worth of clothing, including undergarments Comfortable sleepwear
  • Modest workout clothing (no cropped shirts or spandex shorts)
  • Sneakers for the gym and outdoor activities
  • Shower shoes or flip flops
  • Everyday jewelry (e.g., wedding ring, watch)
  • A sweater or jacket for indoors
  • Note: Avoid bringing expensive or irreplaceable clothing or jewelry, as it may be misplaced during treatment.

Toiletries & Hygiene Items:

  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Makeup (if desired)
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Facewash & moisturizer
  • Body lotion & lip balm
  • Shaving cream/razor/trimmer (if desired)
  • Contact lens solution & case, eyeglasses (if applicable)

*Important: Check your toiletries for alcohol. If alcohol is listed as an ingredient, please leave it at home.

Leisure Items:

  • Journal or notebook for personal reflection
  • Reading material (please avoid inappropriate content)
  • MP3 player (optional)

Prohibited Items:

  • Products containing alcohol as a main ingredient (e.g., mouthwash, hand sanitizer)
  • Aerosol items (e.g., hairspray, cleaning products)
  • Opened bottles of vitamins or supplements (please ask before bringing any)
  • Excessive makeup, jewelry, or personal adornments
  • Clothing with inappropriate themes (e.g., references to drugs or alcohol, explicit language, or images) or overly revealing attire (e.g., cropped tops, short shorts, low-cut blouses)
  • Electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, digital cameras, smartwatches, or any device with internet or camera access
  • Weapons (including pocket knives or sharp objects) Pornographic material
  • Food or beverages (these are not permitted)
  • Candles or incense Strong fragrances (e.g., body sprays, perfumes, colognes)
  • Personal bedding, towels, or linens (we provide these for you)
